Digital X-rays are a lower radiation alternative to conventional X-rays. We do not have to develop them so there is no waste water to the environment. This almost instantaneous image can be easily viewed on a 17" screen by the patient, instead of the traditional small film. Coupled with actual pictures of the tooth using an intraoral camera, the patient finally gets to see what work needs to be done and why.
